I'm trying to learn GIS for a possible job I might apply for at Brookings. It seems like a fairly technical job, but I am resigned to working at entry level jobs now since that is all I can do, be employed for entry-level positions. If I were to get the job, it might be interesting because I could work with maps a lot. I am enjoying working with ArcViewGIS and find it very interesting.
The French girls are leaving tomorrow. We had a going-away party for them tonight. I should have gotten to know them better, I might see them again in the future. Merriel knows quite a few languages and several of us had interesting conversations about languages - she claimed German was very beautiful. Everyone drank the wine that Michael had brought me from France in October very quickly; I had saved that wine for almost a year, kind of anti-climatic. Rasmus showed me some pictures of Greenland, pretty cool. Tom wants to go on a trip after we turn in our papers, that would be cool.
